Reservation & Payment Policy

  • Reservations: A non-refundable $50 fee secures your spot on a specific doe’s list. This fee applies toward the final purchase price. Paid reservations always take priority over the free waitlist.
  • Waitlist: You may join a waitlist for free to be notified of availability, but this does not guarantee a kid.
  • Deposits: Once a kid is offered, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due within 72 hours. Failure to pay results in the forfeiture of your reservation fee, and the kid will be offered to the next person.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due at pickup. No animal leaves the property until paid in full.

Fulfillment & Refunds

  • Changes: If your reserved sex/number is unavailable, you may roll your fee to next year or move to a different open reservation.
  • Cancellations: If you decline your reserved kid, the $50 fee is forfeited. If we cancel the sale due to health issues or our decision to retain the animal, all fees/deposits will be fully refunded.
  • Right of Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse any sale if we feel the home is not a fit; in this case, all payments will be refunded.

Pickup & Care

  • Timeline: Bottle kids must be picked up by 4 weeks; hybrid-raised kids by 8 weeks.
  • Boarding: Extensions require full payment by 2 weeks of age plus a weekly boarding fee. Failure to pick up on the agreed date may also incur boarding fees.
  • Transport: Buyers are responsible for all costs related to health certificates, vet exams, and shipping.

Registration & Health

  • All kids come with complete ADGA registration.
  • Buck prices include DNA filing, completed once the deposit is received.
  • Recommendation: We suggest continuing bottle feedings until 12 weeks to reduce stress and improve bonding.

Herd Health & Biosecurity

  • Testing: We strive to maintain a disease-free herd. We test for CAE annually and perform periodic fecal testing for Johne’s.
  • CL Policy: While we do not routinely test for CL (as our herd has no history of abscesses and blood tests can be inaccurate), we can provide a test at the buyer’s request.
  • Maintenance: All kids are disbudded, raised on a coccidia prevention program, and dewormed (age permitting) before leaving.
  • Horn Request: To keep a kid horned, you must pay in full by 5 days of age, and the kid must be picked up by 2 weeks of age.

Health Guarantee & Liability

  • Post-Sale: We cannot guarantee the health of an animal once it leaves our property. If an animal becomes ill, please consult a veterinarian immediately.
  • Replacement Policy: We offer a replacement guarantee for genetic defects, teat defects, or infertility (sterile/freemartin/intersex). Proof of the condition and transfer of registration back to us are required.

Carpal Hyperextension (CH) Policy

We are committed to breeding out CH. If a goat purchased from us develops CH, we offer the following credits toward a future kid (upon transfer of the animal back to us):

  • Under 2 years (No offspring): We guarantee full replacement.
  • Produced offspring: 50% credit of the purchase price.
  • Verification: While we know veterinary diagnosis is difficult, we require photo/video evidence of the condition. This guarantee is void in cases of neglect or abuse.
